Easter in Louisiana

After our beach vacation we drove to Louisiana to spend time with family for Easter. We were greeted with an awesome Crawfish boil and Barbeque. It was so nice to visit with family that we miss so much...and we can always count on great food in Louisiana!!!

WOW! Look at those crawfish!

Carillon Beach Spring Break

We spent our spring break in Florida with our friends Tracy, Stephen, Pierce, Izzy and Riley Bender and Irina and Carley. We had so much fun. The kids loved spending time on the beach and playing in the sand. We played at the playground and enjoyed a concert on the Green. We also had an Easter Egg Hunt on the beach.

First Soccer Practice

Today was Bella's first soccer practice. Mark has passed the torch to his first-born to continue his legacy of soccer greatness! Bella was very excited about starting soccer and that her daddy was going to be the coach. Bella's cousin Chloe is also a soccer teammate. They were so cute!! They were very attentive and tried their very best! They also decided on their team name... the Eagles!!

You Go Girl!!

So we are going a little crazy here. We've had bad weather all day and Mark is out of town. Bella had a great idea. She said "Hey mommy, let's dance!". A girl after my own heart, I had to capture this on video. Please be patient, your are about to see some strategic posing, eye contact and hair flipping!

New trick!

Marshall has a new trick. He can now climb on the little rocker and stand up! He is quite proud of himself!

Still going...

He's like the energizer bunny...still going!!!

Let it snow..sleet...rain!!!

The weather is getting yucky here, lots of freezing rain and nasty weather. Earlier this week we got some snow. Bella was very excited to see it before she left for school. Marshall just got to see it through the window.

Bella's Teacher Conference

Well, we had Bella's teacher conference today. We had some good news, and some bad news. First, her teachers reported that Bella is very smart and mature. She has excellent Spanish pronunciation and learns new vocabulary quickly. Then they went on to tell us that Bella DOES have a problem...she talks too much! She talks so much, she can't finish assignments or her lunch. When her teachers reprimand her for this behavior she simply rolls her eyes and sighs. WOW! That was hard to take. I was OK with the talking (as a Speech Therapist...it's better than not talking), but the attitude! Oh no!!! What's going to happen when she's a teenager?!?!? God, please help me!
